A Letter to My Grandparents
Teaching abroad isn’t going to be like what you expected. There will be ups and downs. You’ll feel as if you’re failing all the time. What you think is best for your kids is sometimes impossible to carry out due to the culture.
The one way I’ve been able to release some of the built up stress is writing to my grandparents. They don’t always have access to their emails or Facebook, so the old fashioned letter writing works best. It’s something which needs to come back. There’s more personality to it, and a greater sense of connection.
